Buying as a gift? This page is for the OM System OM-1 and its Micro Four Thirds mount: lenses from other mounts will not fit it. Lenses were picked by their manufacturer specs, not tested by us.

A portrait lens is about two things: how tightly it frames a face, and how much background blur its widest aperture allows. On the OM System OM-1's Micro Four Thirds sensor the classic 85mm view needs a lens marked 43mm.

The OM System OM-1 has in-body stabilisation, so a lens without its own still shoots steady; 1 of these 5 also stabilise in the lens.
